¾ Tie Pants | Sun Print

Our comfortable and practical ¾ tie pants are back again in our bright and sunny ‘We Are Freo’ Collection Sun Print, designed by Amanda Conway.

The ¾ tie pants are unique in that they have a classic culotte silhouette with a bottom hem that ends mid-calf, and a wide leg bell that is so breathable and feels like you’re wearing a skirt, but still with the functionality and coverage of pants. An elasticated waistband and thin tie cord mean that you can wear these true to waist height and substitute the tie for a statement belt, or slightly lower for added room around the hips. These pants can go from casual walking through the city during the bustling summer arts season in Perth, or elegant and classy with a heel and bright yellow blouse to match the sunny print.

The Sun Print is designed by local, independent Glass Fusing artist, Amanda Conway,  who moved to Fremantle in 2006 with her Husband Shannon from Worcestershire, England. Amanda also works in Resin and more recently has gotten back into Sewing, which is what makes her such a versatile, talented artist. The Sun Print for her represents the vibrancy of the Fremantle lifestyle and community, and celebrates everyone who makes Fremantle a unique place in the world! As always, our garments are designed in Fremantle, Western Australia.

Made ethically from 100% hand-loomed Khadi Cotton in Pushkar, India by The Stitching Project. Designs are hand carved onto wooden blocks. Then Pawan, our block printer at The Stitching Project places each block onto the ink board. This process is repeated a hundred times over with amazing precision and experience to create the perfect patterns. All of our dyes are Global Organic Textile Standards (G.O.T.S) Certified, and our fabric and processes are Craftmark Certified. Each of our Garments is proudly signed by every craftsperson who has had a hand in making it.
