Peasant Top - Indigo Stripe & Hand Print
4 pieces were made in each size.
Our classic peasant top is a feminine classic. In our crisp natural light khadi, it has a drawstring neckline allowing you to wear it close to the base of the neck, off the shoulder or layered with a polo neck or collared shirt in winter. It has 3/4 raglan sleeves finished with an elasticated hem, an asymmetrical feature front pocket block-printed with our People Gathering print and loosely sits on the hips to make it the ideal option to work with our tailored or wide leg 3/4 pants. Our tip is to try it under our drop waist dress to add a sleeve and a feminine neck detail.
Hand Print
Open palms can indicate a sense of community and can be a sign of honour for the hand-made, and the processes which create a cultural staple through the hand. In this print, Beech and Caoimhe’s intention was to ‘decorate’ a surface which distinguished the pattern as a sign of importance. Therefore the hand becomes a universal symbol, creating a pleasant style relating to contemporary and tribal visual expression through the pattern.
Print designed in collaboration with Perth artists, Madeleine Beech and Ómra Caoimhe.
