¾ Tie Pants | Indigo Stripe
Our comfortable and practical ¾ tie pants are back again in our Indigo mud resist stripe that you may remember from our Les Indiennes collection. The ¾ tie pants are unique in that they have a classic culotte silhouette with a bottom hem that ends mid-calf, and a wide leg bell that is so breathable and feels like you’re wearing a skirt, but still with the functionality and coverage of pants. An elasticated waistband and thin tie cord mean that you can wear these true to waist height and substitute the tie for a statement belt, or slightly lower for added room around the hips.
These pants can go from casual walking through the city during the bustling summer arts season in Perth, or elegant and classy with a heel and collared shirt in the evening. The Indigo stripe is a nod to Gaelle’s heritage, inspired by bold French Stripes that are favoured in summer and symbolic of the French Riviera. On the ¾ tie pants, the vertical indigo stripe works to elongate the figure in a classic, yet playful way through the cut of the culotte.
As always, our garments are designed in Fremantle, Western Australia. Made ethically from 100% hand-loomed Khadi Cotton in Pushkar, India by The Stitching Project. Designs are hand carved onto wooden blocks. Then Pawan, our block printer at The Stitching Project places each block onto the ink board. This process is repeated a hundred times over with amazing precision and experience to create the perfect patterns. All of our dyes are Global Organic Textile Standards (G.O.T.S) Certified, and our fabric and processes are Craftmark Certified. Each of our Garments are proudly signed by every craftsperson who has had a hand in making it.
