The Stitching Project recycles these Sarees accross India to create these upcycled yarns in the hope of saving them from landfill and giving them a second chance instead. Adaptable for so many projects for craft, festive decorations, school activities, gift wrapping and the home.

Each yarn is 100% silk and rolled into 100gm balls consisting between 93 to 98m depending on the weight of Sarees used.

Our fairtrade artisan communities are located on a river in the village of Bagdha, District Barisal in Bangladesh. We work together with these artisan communities in supporting their standard of living and providing a platform to earn sustainable income for their families through this project.
