Our ¾ wide-leg tie pants that you know and love from our Made by Hand collection is back! Made from a natural rich textured mid-weight, handspun, hand-loomed khadi cotton, they have been naturally double-dip indigo-dyed this season to be a simple, staple piece in your collection. As a design that is from our previous collections, we like to think that our pieces talk to each other in your ethical wardrobe and are trans-seasonal and versatile for that reason. High-waisted with an elasticated back for comfort, a tie belt and some nice deep pockets, these pants will become your go-to piece for the season replacing your favourite denim, as they are that much more breathable. Pair with a basic loose collared shirt for a more structured look, or cropped with our tank tie tops for a cheeky Summer look that shows a bit more skin. The perfect culotte cut for Summer, the vertical stripes work to lengthen the leg and elongate the figure and look great with a block heel for a sundowner session.
This season, our indigo dye work has been done by award-winning printer Mr Girish, who is responsible for our Ajrakh print. The indigo produced is a shade darker than our own. Their vat is a traditional Indian vat fed with lime and sugar cake and it is 100% natural unlike many vats in India which have chemical added (synthetic) to accelerate the dyeing process.
Each Anjelms piece is signed by the craftsperson of The Stitching Project who was involved in its making.
All our plant dyes are G.O.T.S. certified and hand-dyed on the grounds of The Stitching Project gardens. All wastewater is reused for gardening purposes to reduce wastage and damaging effect on our environment.
Designed in Fremantle, Western Australia. Made ethically in Pushkar, India by The Stitching Project.
