Our reversible coat is our favourite piece as it is a testimony of the level of craftsmanship of the team of The Stitching Project who makes all our garments. It encaptures the skills the team has mastered.
On one side, the coat is made from handspun, hand woven local Khadi (cotton) which has been hand dyed in G.O.T.S. certified pomegranate and iron then hand stitched by The Stitching Ladies in vibrant cotton thread. On the other side, the jacket has been hand block printed in our Moroccan yellow print.
The print and plain option make it such a versatile piece, easy to dress up and down. The double layered Khadi makes it warm and cosy in winter while breathable and light during the warmer months with raglan sleeves for a relaxed look and ease of movement with the extra layers of the winter, with a round neckline allowing you to team it with a beautiful scarf or a simple collared shirt and a knee length hemline to work with all your favourite outfits.
This timeless coat will become our go-to-piece every winter to come. It is easy to pack rolled in a ball and easy to care for making it an ideal travel companion.
All our plant dyes are G.O.T.S. certified and hand-dyed on the grounds of The Stitching Project gardens. All waste water is reused for gardening purposes to reduce wastage and damaging effect to our environment.
