Jacket - Indigo Stripes
This summer simple jacket is a timeless wardrobe staple. With a crisp collar, two front pockets, and it sits on top of the hip. The wrist can easily be cuffed as the jacket is lined in matching khadi cotton handloom making it also breathable through the summer months and a great layer in cooler ones. Its simple lines will make it a great piece to team with a pair of smart pants for a work statement, as with a crisp cotton dress or as a casual replacement to the usual denim jacket.
Our bold indigo mud resist stripe is inspired by the French bold stripes favoured in summer and symbolic of the French Riviera.Handloom Cotton
Hand-spun, handwoven, locally sourced Khadi from Pushkar, India.
The Dabu or mud resist print is a traditional printing technique of Rajasthan. Textiles are block-printed with a mix of melasses and mud which are then covered in sawdust and dried. When dip-dyed in natural indigo vats, the block-printed details resists the dye and allows the patterns to form. It is a time-intensive process that requires a long curing and subsequent washing of the fabric.
