We have collaborated with 13 local, independent, and interdisciplinary artists as part of our 'We Are Freo' collection to bring you a one-of-a-kind, limited run of ANJELMS Project T-shirts. Each T-shirt is designed with the artist’s interpretation and personal connection to Fremantle city and is printed on Earth Positive T-shirts by Ethical Tees.

Ethical Tees are based in Sydney Australia and all products are made by the team there. Ethical Tees print using water-based eco-friendly and vegan ink, so there are no toxic plastic kinks or harmful resin in these products! The T-shirts themselves are produced by clothing suppliers that offer fair trade fair labour and sweatshop-free working conditions. They use socially responsible suppliers and sustainable printing practices and pledge 1% of their total sales back to the planet to preserve and restore the environment. EarthPositive® is produced exclusively from organic Indian cotton, and the entire production process is controlled and certified in accordance with the latest version of GOTS.

All products are labelled as Organic. 100% of the EarthPositive® production undergoes annual audits to comply with the FWF Code of Labour Practices in accordance with the International Labour Organisation’s conventions. EarthPositive® is made in manufacturing facilities powered by green renewable energy, from low-impact raw materials. The carbon footprint of EarthPositive® products has been reduced by some 90% and the calculations were certified under the PAS2050 standard by the Carbon Trust in the UK between 2007-2009.

Sasha Britto is a musician, henna artist, illustrator and visual artist living and working in Fremantle. Sasha’s work often explores the intricacies of life through symbolism and shape, especially through personal lived experience, The mandala design represents her home, and the organic circle designs towards the centre represent her friends and family that surround her. The squares represent the foundations and stability of her place in Fremantle, and the lotus flowers symbolise her rebirth and strength. Coming back to the reason why she is in Fremantle, to begin with, the henna leaves represent Sasha’s job which she loves very much.

This bold organic design is by local multidisciplinary artist Annette Wiguna who specialises in mixed media paintings, felted and naturally plant-dyed garments and textiles. Originally from Jakarta, Indonesia, Annette runs eco-dye workshops and a photography business with her partner.
