Our popular drop waist dress is back again in the divine indigo that you know and love from our Made by Hand collection. This season with its peek-a-boo backless charm with added Hot Air Balloon border icon, made using the resist process! Made from our light hand-spun, hand-loomed khadi, this classic everyday dress has a drop waist seam, a V-back feature secured by a back tie allowing you to take it from the day teamed with a peasant top, plain tee or skivvy, to a cheeky bare look at night with your favourite heel and accessories.
This season, our indigo dye work has been done by award-winning printer Mr Girish, who is responsible for our Ajrakh print. The indigo produced is a shade darker than our own. Their vat is a traditional Indian vat fed with lime and sugar cake and it is 100% natural unlike many vats in India, which have chemical added (synthetic) to accelerate the dyeing process.
Print designed in collaboration with Perth artist, Madeleine Beech.
Each Anjelms piece is signed by the craftsperson of The Stitching Project who was involved in its making.
All our plant dyes are G.O.T.S. certified and hand-dyed on the grounds of The Stitching Project gardens. All wastewater is reused for gardening purposes to reduce wastage and damaging effect on our environment.
Designed in Fremantle, Western Australia. Made ethically in Pushkar, India by The Stitching Project.
