Long Button Tie Dress - Jaipur Floral

$150.00 $300.00
| /

4 pieces were made in each size.

With a wide round neckline and relaxed raglan, 3/4 sleeves finished with a loose elasticated hem, this dress allows easy and free movement. While it is calf-length, it has side splits to the knee to give it a flow in the skirt and allows layering with pants. It has invisible side pockets and a hand-braided tie belt made for our fabric offcuts as well as a button front feature for versatility. Wear it a loose tunic or summer cover-up, as a slimmer dress teamed with the tie belt. Open it halfway teamed with slim pants or skirt or wear it unbuttoned as an overcoat over a simple plain dress or tee and jeans. What is not too like?

Jaipur Floral Print
Our Jaipur floral is a traditional Ajrakh print from Jaipur featuring delicate pine cone like flowers.

Handloom Cotton
Hand-spun, handwoven, locally sourced Khadi from Pushkar, India.

Ajrakh Blockprint
It is printed in the workshop of award-winning printers, Mr Girsh and his father. The traditional colours found in Ajrakh are deep which symbolises nature. The black is obtained through a mix of myrobolan (plum family) and iron shavings cured over 15 days. The fabric is first printed with a resist paste and then it is dyed, a process repeated several times to achieve the final design.

Each Anjelms piece is signed by the craftsperson of The Stitching Project that was involved in its making.
